As you may know from reading through our website, at Bartley Glass we tend to recommend replacing your double glazing units rather than buying completely new windows. This is of course to help save you money but it also cuts down on wastage. After all, why scrap perfectly good PVC frames and fixings if they are still in good use and functional?

Today we are sharing some images of some new fitted windows including replacement frames. Our customer in Northfield wanted to update and refresh the entire look of the house so opted for a complete window replacement including the porch area.

The results speak for themselves.

The whole house now looks modern, bright and fresh.

What is even better the customer will get our 10 year guarantee on the new windows and frames and is more than likely to not need to replace the glazed units for around 12-15 years and the frames possibly even longer.

The benefits of just replacing your glazed units:

• It is far more cost effective than changing your complete window
• It is a quicker process – we manufacture our sealed units on site so we can ensure our clients’ needs are meet, quickly and efficiently.
• Less mess! A double glazing replacement job is a fairly quick and tidy one – we are in and out of your hair in no time.
• Less disruption – fitting new windows can take a few days depending on the size and number of windows. Replacing the glazing is far quicker.
• Upgrades don’t cost the earth! We are currently fitting lots of Pilkington Glass Triple Glazed units. This would normally be quite an expensive project if you were changing your frames too.

Of course, there are times when it is necessary to replace the entire double glazing unit:

• If your frame isn’t sitting properly in the cavity, allowing drafts in
• If your units are more than 20 years old
• If you have a leak and it is not coming from around the sealed unit
• If you just fancy changing your window frame colour, or style!

Do contact us at Bartley Glass to discuss your own personal requirements. If you want one of our fitters to pop out and pay you a visit to assess whether you need a simple glazing replacement or a full on windows upgrade we are more than happy to help.
